iLawyer.com Signs Agreements with the Bar Association of San Francisco and the Bar Association of Northern San Diego County to Provide Online Consultations with Attorneys.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - - August 7, 2000 - - This week, iLawyer.com announced that it will be providing 30-minute consultations with attorneys for clients in the San Francisco Bay Area and in North San Diego County through partnerships with the Bar Association of San Francisco and the Bar Association of Northern San Diego County. iLawyer is working with the American Bar Association ("ABA") to develop a national network of ABA-approved Lawyer Referral Services on the Internet.

The Lawyer Referral Service of the Bar Association of San Francisco is certified by the California State Bar Association and meets the standards of the American Bar Association. The Lawyer Referral Service recently won the ABA's Cindy A. Raisch Award for Superior Public Achievement. "On average our attorneys have 16 years of experience, so we strongly feel that clients are receiving excellent legal services," Carol Woods, the Director of the Bar Association of San Francisco Lawyer Referral Service, said. "We are proud to have the Bar Association of San Francisco be the first Bar Association to join the network. They are a leader in the field," said Adam Slote, President of iLawyer.

The other current Bar Association participant is the Lawyer Referral Service at the Bar Association of Northern San Diego County. "We are excited that the founders of iLawyer have created a vehicle which should ultimately allow users of the Internet to obtain referrals to qualified attorneys anywhere in the country," said K. Martin White of the Lawyer Referral Service at the Bar Association of Northern San Diego County. The Lawyer Referral Service at the Bar Association of Northern San Diego County meets ABA Standards for Lawyer Referral and is certified by the State Bar Association of California.
