iLawyer enters into agreement with the Association of the Bar of the City of New York to provide online lawyer referrals in the New York Metropolitan area

NEW YORK, NY - - April 2, 2001 - - iLawyer, Inc. announced this week that beginning Monday, April 23, 2001, it will be providing consultations with attorneys for clients in the New York Metropolitan area through its partnership with the Association of the

Bar of the City of New York (ABCNY).

"We are proud to have ABCNY join the network to provide referrals throughout the New York Metropolitan area. They are one of the most respected bar associations in the country," said Adam Slote, President of iLawyer.

Established in 1870, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York is one of the nation's oldest and largest local bar associations. ABCNY serves not only as a professional association but also as a leader and advocate in the legal field on a local, state, national and international level, serving its members and the public with distinction.

iLawyer is working with the American Bar Association ("ABA") to develop a national network of ABA-approved Lawyer Referral Services on the Internet. Other Bar Associations currently participating in the network are the Bar Association of San Francisco Lawyer Referral Service, the Lawyer Referral Service at the Bar Association of Northern San Diego County, the San Fernando Valley Bar Association Lawyer Referral and Information Service, the Beverly Hills Bar Association Lawyer Referral and Information Service, the Contra Costa County Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service and the San Gabriel Valley Lawyer Referral Service. iLawyer will be operating soon in Seattle, Washington and in other locations.
